Code of Ethics of the Executive Committee

Mid-Atlantic RC&D Association

 

Members of the Executive Committee of the Mid-Atlantic RC&D Association are committed to observing and promoting the highest standards of ethical conduct in the performance of their duties on the Executive Committee.  The Executive Committee adopts this code as a guideline for ethical conduct and shall:

 

Accountability 

Faithfully abide by the Articles of Incorporation, by-laws and policies of Mid-Atlantic RC&D Association, and all applicable US Department of Agriculture rules and regulations pertaining to the Association’s operations.

 

Exercise reasonable care, good faith, and due diligence in organizational affairs.

 

At the earliest opportunity, fully disclose information that may result in a perceived or actual conflict of interest.

 

At the earliest opportunity, fully disclose factual information that would or could have significance in Executive Committee decision-making.

 

Remain accountable for prudent fiscal management to the Association members, the Executive Committee, and funding bodies.

 

Professional Excellence 

Maintain a professional level of courtesy, respect, and objectivity in all Mid-Atlantic RC&D Association activities.

 

Strive to uphold those practices and assist other Mid-Atlantic RC&D Board members in upholding the highest standards of conduct.

 

Personal Gain 

Exercise the powers invested for the good of all members of the organization rather than for personal benefit.

 

Confidential Information 

Respect the confidentiality of sensitive information known as a result of service on the Executive Committee.

Promote collaboration, cooperation, and partnership among association members.
