The South Jersey Resource Conservation and Development Council is recruiting dedicated people in this eleven county area to become involved in making the area a better place to live, work, and play. Help us improve South Jersey.

Mission of the Council: "to develop and maintain resource technology information systems and initiate, support and implement conservation projects responsive to the needs of the people in the South Jersey RC&D region enabling them to conserve and manage the ecosystem in which they live."

3. Wildlife resources
4. Communication
Funding sources and legal authority

The South Jersey RC&D Council was authorized in 1974, under the authority of the Food and Agriculture Act of 1962 (P.L. 87-703). The Council is organized as a nonprofit corporation under New Jersey State law and under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Operating funds come from dues paid by each sponsoring organizations and grants obtained from state and federal governments, foundations, or private individuals. USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service pays all staff salaries, office expenses, vehicles and the majority of the office equipment.
