R.I.S.E. System
The R.I.S.E. web site is short for "Resource Information Serving
Everyone." R.I.S.E. was developed and is maintained by the South
Jersey RC&D Council, Inc., a non-profit natural resource
conservation and development organization. The R.I.S.E. system manages
a network of 18 Campbell Scientific CM10 weather stations located in Atlantic,
Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, and Monmouth
counties New Jersey. The weather stations capture local weather data and
calculates the water use of turf. R.I.S.E. can help reduce water
use and non-point source pollution in both agricultural areas and around
homes and businesses. All weather data is available at http://www.sjrcd.org.
R.I.S.E.
data is available as a
service. The subscription service offers many enhanced
features, including irrigation scheduling, insect and disease forecasting,
and past weather data. For current rates and data sheets available, visit
the web site linked above. Visitors are welcome and you can sample various
items for free. To subscribe, leave a message in the "COMMENTS"
section to the webmaster.
R.I.S.E. weather stations can be found at: Atlantic County

Campbell Scientific weather
stations have become the world-standard for meteorologic and climatologic
monitoring. In use on every continent and virtually every country, our
weather stations are known for their precision measurement capability,
rugged construction, wide operating temperature range, and low power consumption.
CSI weather stations offer the flexibility to easily change sensor configurations,
data processing, and data storage and retrival options.
The R.I.S.E. System
The R.I.S.E. program makes heavy use of the Campbell
Scientific weather station. Our system uses the following sensors:
LI200S
Pyranometer or LI200X (measures solar radiation); R.M.
Young 03001 wind sentry; SolarX MSX10 solar panel; Vaisala
HMP35C or HMP45C capacitive relative humidity sensor and thermistor temperature
sensor; DC112 modem; Texas Electronic TE525 tipping bucket rain
gage; and the CR10 datalogger.
