R.I.S.E.  System

The R.I.S.E. web site is short for "Resource Information Serving Everyone." R.I.S.E. was developed and is maintained by the South Jersey RC&D Council, Inc., a non-profit natural resource conservation and development organization. The R.I.S.E. system manages a network of 18 Campbell Scientific CM10 weather stations located in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, and Monmouth counties New Jersey. The weather stations capture local weather data and calculates the water use of turf. R.I.S.E. can help reduce water use and non-point source pollution in both agricultural areas and around homes and businesses. All weather data is available at http://www.sjrcd.org. R.I.S.E. data is available as a  SUBSCRIPTION service.  The subscription service offers many enhanced features, including irrigation scheduling, insect and disease forecasting, and past weather data. For current rates and data sheets available, visit the web site linked above. Visitors are welcome and you can sample various items for free. To subscribe, leave a message in the "COMMENTS" section to the webmaster.

R.I.S.E. weather stations can be found at: Atlantic County -- Hammonton, Atlantic County Utilities Authority; Burlington County -- Eastampton, Chesterfield, and Mansfield Townships; Camden County -- Cherry Hill, Camden County Vocational and Technical School, Berlin; Cape May County -- West Cape May (Lower Township), Cape May Court House (Middle Township), Dennis Township (Upper Township); Cumberland County -- Stow Creek; Upper Deerfield Township Gloucester County -- Bethel Mill Park (Washington Township), Piney Hollow, Gloucester County Solid Waste Complex; Ocean -- United Water Toms River; Monmouth County -- Manasquan Reservoir near Howell and Fort Monmouth.
