Jack Allen Museum - the starting point

Tour des Farms started at The Jack Allen Memorial Early Country Living Museum in Vincentown, NJ.

On the Road

 

Three (16, 29, and 54 mile) different routes starting at the Jack Allen Early Country Living Museum in Vincentown were available. The 16 mile ride through Southampton and Lumberton townships included two organic farms, Kumpel’s vegetable stand, and a cranberry bog. The 29 mile route traveling through Southampton and Springfield townships, visited the farms above, plus, K-n-P Farms, Homestead Nursery, and Lone Wolfe farm. Fifty four mile riders went as far as the Russo farm by the Mercer County line in Chesterfield Township. The Hlubik farm, Strawberry Hill Farm, and Pinelands Nursery were also possible stops.

At the Route Farm Stops

 

16 Mile (Hot Pink) Route Farms:
1895 Organic Farm - This Certified Organic Farm offers a variety of vegetables. They are a member of the Northeast Organic Farm Association.
Paradise Hill Farm — This farm sells organically raised cranberries, blueberries, and vegetables.
Greenfield Farm (Kumpel Farm Stand) - The Kumpel self-service farm stand sells pumpkins, mums, and mixed vegetables. They also grow field crops for the horse industry.
Budds Bogs – This 5th generation Farm manages 1600 acres of land as part of the watershed to produce 250 acres of cranberries. They are proud members of the Ocean Spray Cooperative.

29 Mile (Green) Route Farms:
Budds KnP Farms & Market - Old fashion country market with Jersey fruits, veggies, seafood & honey, cold drinks, ice cream, snacks, hot/cold sandwiches, homemade baked goods. Picnic tables for R&R.
Lone Wolfe Farm — This farm market sells an assortment of farm raised produce and potted plants.
Homestead Nursery – Homestead Nursery retails trees, shrubs, and ground cover plants. They have been in the nursery business for over 50 years.


54 Mile (Yellow) Route Farms:
Mr. McGregors Market – This market sells home grown produce and baked goods. There were a total of 12 stops along the route.
Raymond Hlubik Farm – The Hlubik farm offers all kinds of vegetables, specializing in sweet corn and tomatoes. This family has farmed at least three generations.
Strawberry Hill Farm –This orchard sells apples, peaches, plums, pears, and nectarines. It also is a large U Pick farm.
Russo’s Orchard Lane Farm – This farm has a large farm stand along with pick your own vegetables, greenhouse produce, and AgriTourism.
Pinelands Nursery — This plant nursery specializes in native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers.
